Today i.e. 29 October is the International Internet Day. If you are thinking why a digital marketing blog is talking about Internet Day, please remember that internet is the single most influential factor and has been a harbinger of change. Just to set the premise, on this day in the year 1969 Charley Kline a student programmer transmitted first ever message via internet. And since 2005 this day now known as world internet day and at least the techies celebrate with gusto all over the world.

So today have come up with a unique way to make you more aware about internet and how it gave birth to the digital marketing. We are sharing with you few lesser known fact about the internet.  And tell you how it is  constantly changing digital marketing.

Our 2 cents: Really poor choice of word if you look at it from a marketer’s perspective. Though to give them credit they were trying to send ‘Login’ but computer crashed after just LO. Maybe they should have gone with the tried and tested Hi. But one must say that this word set premise for every communication that we are sending across. And hence as a digital marketing agency we are extremely thankful for it.

Fact 2: Users sends round 204 Million emails every minute over the internet

Our 2 Cents:  Phew! My god people do love their emails. But the fact is email has become the most used form of communication. And the marketing agencies are playing very important role in contributing to those 204 Million emails.

Fact 3: Users spends approximately GBP 1.7 Trillion of funds online

Our 2 Cents: Wow!! Just imagine the kind of money that is literally floating over internet. Dear readers you need to buck up. Just imagine how much your businesses can grow here on internet.

Fact 4: Most viewed video of all time is the “ Gangnam Style” by PSY

Our 2 Cents: It was released on 15 July, 2012 and is still the most viewed videos with over 2.8 Billion view. This fact actually shows the power of creative content and good marketing. Because when it comes to internet marketing sky is the limit.
