Make Me Blush | Bridal makeup services for a two states wedding – Where culture converges.
The Challenge
Weddings in India, as we know, is a family affair of epic proportion. It is the ultimate passage of rite that unifies not just two people but also two families. However, having handled loads of marriage assignments this was nothing new for us. But, the challenge lied in the dual traditions. As the bride belonged to a vibrant Punjabi family while the groom hailed from the traditional Marathi brahmin family. Hence, it goes without saying wedding rituals were performed twice giving due respect to both the cultures. And all this, was at a destination wedding in a palace in Rajasthan. So, of course it called for a regal pre-wedding photoshoot.
Therefore, we had to gear-up, to create three starkly different looks for both bride and groom and some of their squad members. Further, since wedding was at a remote place there was no room for mistakes, as back-up was long way away.
The Solution
We knew from the beginning that success of this project will depend upon how thoroughly we plan every minute details. Therefore, we wanted to start the preparations well in advance. Thankfully, the couple had also opted for pre-bridal packages. Hence, we came to know about their likes, dislikes and style.
Now, our task was to design best looks for each ceremony from haldi, mehendi, sangeet and of course two sets of wedding rituals. Hence, we started with a sit down with the couple to get idea of their dream bridal look. Luckily for us they had a clear idea of what they wanted. And our task was to turn their fairy tale into reality. Hence, we created various pseudo versions of styles and looks for each ceremony, before zeroing on the perfect makeup and hairdressing styles.
With our backpacks full of make-up, equipment and everything that the bride, groom and squad will need, we arrived at the Palace. Here, due to the hectic schedule of number of ceremonies we had to act fast and with precision. The experience was truly one of a kind with the entire team were working on high adrenaline and basking in the end results.
The Result
Our top-notch planning ensured that bride, groom and the squad were all looking their best for all the activities. And the only thing that they had to worry about was having fun. And of course, the ethereal bride her dashing groom ended up making picture perfect memories.
